A Note From One Of Our Manufacturers Regarding Pin Hole Leaks In Liners in Soft Sided Pools.

Where Pin Holes Come From

During the welding process of the liner, there have been rare occasions when a small bubble appears in the PVC coating. This tiny bubble bursts and creates a minute opening in the liner coating that not is easily visible.

Since we cant not fill each and every pool we manufacture. there is no way to locate these very tiny openings. Only after the consumer fills the pool with water does a pinhole become visible.

Pinholes at the top of a pool wall produce only a dribble of water, whereas pinholes at the bottom shoot out a steady stream.

THESE PINHOLES ARE IN NO WAY DAMAGING TO THE LINER OR POOL'S INTEGRITY. A customer merely applies a little dab of glue or even Vaseline from the inside and the opening is sealed and will not return again if left untouched( The Opening itself, if left untouched would eventually be blocked by body oil, skin, dirt, suntan lotion and other minute pollutants and would be there after a not be a problem as well)

Our Liner Material is not only able to hold all the water pressure by itself, but if a puncture were to occur is several places on the pool, the liner would still not give way. In the ten years we have been manufacturing this specific type of pool there has never been a catastrophic ripping or tearing of one of our portable pools.
