Adding Chlorine

| If this is your
first time to have a pool,
please read all directions on
the products you are going to
use and refer to this page as a
guide. All instructions are based
upon the Pool
chemicals for 15000 gal.
Start up instructions:
- Pre-dissolve 1
lb of Super Shock-
It into a bucket of water
and add to the pool.
- If any of the
powdered shock is still
undissoved continue to
dissolve and add to the
pool
- Add chlorine tabs
(3-5) to a chlorine floater
or to the chlorinator.
- The next day add
16 oz Algacide 60
to the pool.
Weekly maintenance:
- Test chlorine 1-3 ppm
about 3-4 times a week.
- add Super Shock -It
to rapidly increase the
amount of chlorine.
- adjust the floating
or automatic chlorinator
to allow more chlorine
into the pool.
- Test Ph 7.2-7.8 and
Alkalinity 80-120 about 3-4
times a week.
- If Ph and/or
Alkalinity are high add
Ph Minus to
bring down.
- If Ph is low add Ph
plus.
- If Alkalinity in low
add Alkalinity plus.
- Add 8 oz Algaecide 60.
